This week's entry is Song for Fred written by Caroline Marie Brooks for her first solo album, Everything at the Same Time.
Caroline brought her guitar part over and we sat in my living room and wrote what ended up being the completed duet.
This weeks poem, Journey, is from my Remnants collection. For anyone who has driven from Southern Ontario to the far north, from daylight into the dark, might connect to this short bit of prose.

JOURNEY
Two hundred miles I travelled
Past southern hayfields
Through mist rising from symmetrical farmlands
Then shadows appeared as I raced across the north
Leaning into my angels
Ghosts in the Precambrian Rock
Before me
The moon
Like a great pale eye
Lighting the meandering road
